The park in Pitesti municipality is visited by thousands of people every day.

Mayor Cristian Gentea sent a new message on his Facebook page in the morning of May 1:

“The parks in Pitesti are a permanent invitation to relaxation, escape in nature, quality free time for Pitesti residents of any age, to walk and play.

Today is a free day, let’s take advantage of it! We take care of them carefully and have constantly invested in their modernization, so that these green oases enhance the beauty of the city and increase the number of people who use them every day for outdoor activities.

Lunca Argeșului Park covers an area of ​​24 ha and is visited by approximately 1500 people every day.

Positioned on the banks of the Argeș River, it has 4 km of bike paths, 15 km of paths, about 360 benches, two artesian fountains, open-air theater, sports fields (football, basketball, field tennis, table tennis) , two children’s play spaces, Aventura Park fun space and ecological rink.

More than 2,000 trees, shrubs and flowers adorn it, and – in recent years – it has become the location for our brand event, the Symphony of Tulips, but also for other major events.

Lunca Argeșului Park was designed in such a way as to connect with Strand Park, through a pedestrian alley and a bicycle path that pass under the Argeș River bridge.

Strand Park covers an area of ​​14 ha and is visited by approximately 800 people per day.

With a beautiful lake and canals, among swans, seagulls and wild ducks, it allows for boating or hydro-bicycles in the spring-summer period.

It offers a picnic area, 3 playgrounds, Skatepark, children’s train, outdoor theater and table tennis facilities.

The Trivale forest is the favorite promenade of the people of Pitesti. The legal procedure is started to become a forest-park, with paths, bike paths, benches, lighting, ecological toilets and temporary wooden constructions.

Expo-Parc has been 80% redeveloped, including a modern automatic irrigation system for the lawn. The lake with turtles, but also the relaxation areas attract over 300 people every day.

All the other parks in Pitești’s neighborhoods are maintained and furnished with urban furniture, grassy areas, flowers and arrangements.
