The second suspect in the case of the murder of the Sibian businessman Kariner was brought to the country

Marian Cristian Minae, the second suspect in the case of the murder of businessman Adrian Kreiner, was brought to the country on the night of Tuesday, April 30 to Wednesday, May 1 from Ireland, the Sibiu police announce.

He was accompanied by a Romanian Police escort and was brought from Great Britain. The man is 35 years old and lives in Dolj, being prosecuted internationally for the crime of aggravated murder.

He had a preventive arrest warrant issued in his name by the Sibiu Court.

The man was identified following the exchange of information carried out by police officers from the Center for International Police Cooperation – IGPR with partners in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

He is to be incarcerated, in order to execute the warrant, for the continuation of the investigations.

The police remind the fact that, following the international police cooperation between the Romanian authorities and those of Hungary, France, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as the Republic of Ireland, the Romanian Police located two men, both aged 35 , suspects in the case, on the territory of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, respectively in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The two were spotted by external partners, based on the information provided by the Romanian Police.

“We thank the internal and external partners for their support in catching the two men,” the police say.

Laurentiu Ghiţă was brought to the country on the night of December 29 to 30, 2023. The man, also 35 years old, from Dolj County, was wanted internationally, for committing the crimes of aggravated murder and two offenses of aggravated robbery, was brought into the country.

He was brought from Great Britain, having issued a preventive arrest warrant in his name, by the Sibiu Court, on November 19, 2023.

At the same time, the Romanian Police continues specific activities to locate the third man, suspected in the case, who has not yet been caught.
