One of the suspects in the case of the murder of the businessman from Sibiu was brought to the country

One of the defendants in the case of the murder of the businessman from Sibiu Adrian Kreiner was brought to the country, in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Cristian Marian Minae is accused of qualified murder.

“A Romanian Police escort brought to the country, from Great Britain, a 35-year-old man, domiciled in Dolj, wanted internationally for the crime of aggravated murder. He had a preventive arrest warrant issued in his name by the Sibiu Court”, the IPJ Sibiu officials said.

The man was identified following the exchange of information carried out by police officers from the Center for International Police Cooperation with partners in Great Britain.

He is to be incarcerated, in order to execute the warrant, for the continuation of the investigations.

“We remind you that, following international police cooperation, between the Romanian authorities and those of Hungary, France, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as the Republic of Ireland, the Romanian Police located two men, both aged 35 , suspects in the case, on the territory of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, respectively in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The two were detected by external partners, based on the information provided by the Romanian Police”, the Police officials also transmitted.

The first suspect was brought to the country on the night of December 29 to 30, 2023. It is another man, 35 years old, from Dolj county.

The police continue specific activities to locate the third man suspected in the case.

On November 19, the magistrates in Sibiu issued arrest warrants in absentia on behalf of three suspects in the case of the murder of the Sibiu businessman Adrian Kreiner, who are being prosecuted: Zuleam Costinel Cosmin, Ghiţă Laurentiu and Minae Marian Cristian.

On November 6, 2023, the three entered the businessman’s house to steal valuables and beat him, later the man died at the hospital.

In this case, a serious incident also occurred, the police confusing one of the suspects and picking up an innocent person from the street, in an extremely aggressive manner.

The man, Laurențiu Lăcătusu, from Dolj, claims that he was returning from work when he was stopped by two civilians who pushed him on the ground and hit him with their fists and feet. He returned home after being questioned for 12 hours, and authorities realized he was not the one they were looking for.
