A woman from Olt had a terrible end. She died at the age of 37 after her husband, in a fit of jealousy, stabbed her in the street. The woman died at the hospital.

The shocking incident happened yesterday, around 15:00, on Căpitan Dragănescu Street in Dragăneşti – Olt.

“Drăgăneşti-Olt police officers went to the scene. From the first checks, the police established the fact that a 37-year-old man from Sprâncenata commune, while he was on Căpitan Drăgănescu street , from the town of Drăgăneşti-Olt, against the background of an intra-family conflict, allegedly inflicted several blows with a sharp-cutting object on his 37-year-old wife in the thoraco-pectoral area”, stated the IPJ Olt representatives.

After the attack, the woman was urgently transported to the Slatina County Emergency Hospital. Unfortunately, the medical personnel could not do anything to save his life.

After stabbing his wife, the man ran away. However, he was caught by the police following investigative-operative activities.

The individual was found on Livezilor Street in the city of Drăgăneşti-Olt, and is currently in the custody of investigators, after being taken to the police headquarters for questioning.

At the beginning of April, a 68-year-old man from Olt killed his wife in cold blood. He hit her on the head with a piece of wood, and then stabbed her.

“From the first checks, the police established the fact that, on the evening of March 31, 2024, a 68-year-old man, against the backdrop of alcohol consumption and an intra-family conflict, would have hit his wife several times with a piece of wood in the head area and allegedly stabbed her with a sharp-cutting object in the thoraco-pectoral area. As a result of the event, the woman died, and her body was transported to the Slatina Emergency County Hospital, in order to carry out the necropsy, in order to accurately establish the cause of death”, said the police.
