I PLOW. Following several rounds of negotiations between the representatives of the Arad City Hall, the Local Union of Arad Housing Associations (ULALA), RETIM Ecologic Service and last but not least ADI Deşeuri Arad, an agreement was reached regarding the household sanitation contract, which in its initial form, it was not approved by the Union of Owners’ Associations in the municipality, which wanted to ensure that it complies with the legal provisions necessary to ensure proper management of sanitation services.

Initial complaints, resolved

According to the statement issued by ULALA earlier this month, the union wanted the new sanitation contract to benefit the local community, be legally drafted and effectively serve homeowners associations. It is also the reason why several changes were necessary, among which we mention:

•postponing the deadline for reporting the number of people in order to optimize the management of expenses until the 25th of the following month;

•modification of the method of communication of tariffs;

• the last number of persons reported remains in force for the following contractual periods;

•replacement of damaged containers in no more than 48 working hours;

• elimination of the operator’s refusal to pick up waste considered non-compliant;

• eliminating the presentation of the proof of notification to the competent authorities (Police, Firemen) about the theft/destruction of the collection containers.

There is no longer any reason to refuse”

“Once the aspects related to the provisions of the contract proposed by the collection company have been clarified, there is no longer any reason to refuse to sign the document, therefore the Arad City Hall and ULAL urge the owners’ associations to do so as soon as possible” – transmitted the municipality.

“I am glad that we found understanding both on the part of the collection operator and on the part of the associations. After all, we are all interested in having a responsible involvement from both sides in order to have a city as clean as possible”, said the mayor of Arad municipality, Călin Bibarț.

“The agreed procedures focus on the selective collection process by providing a clear framework for homeowner associations. We thank all the parties involved for the collaboration and we trust that in the future we will have visible results in the improvement of waste management services in our community”, added the president of ULAL Arad, Anca Herbei.
