Car services in Cluj, taken under control by the Labor Inspectorate! Fines of thousands of lei were given and several equipments were taken out of service

The labor inspectorate made a series of checks at workshops and car services in Cluj. They checked almost 20 employers.

Between 23-26.04.2023 ITM Cluj carried out, as part of a campaign organized at national level, control actions at a number of 17 employers from Cluj county and contraventional sanctions were applied to two employers, in the total amount of 13,500 lei .

The fines were applied for: the lack of periodic technical checks and the lack of authorization for the operation of work equipment that falls under the scope of ISCIR, as well as for the lack of collective protection measures at the car repair channel.

Moreover, at four of the companies checked, four work equipments were stopped from operation due to the expiration of the ISCIR authorization of these equipments.

Also, ITM inspectors gave 9 warnings, remedial measures being ordered.

Warnings were issued for: failure to wear personal protective equipment by all workers, lack of signatures on training sheets, expired skills sheets and damaged permanent safety signage.
