On Tuesday, around noon, several Sibiians noticed the corpse of a pig in the waters of the Cibin river, in the area between the Cibin square and the stone bridge.
The citizens of Sibiu informed the town hall through the Sibiu City App, the officials of the Public Service Sanitation, Environmental Protection and Public Domain Administration requesting the sanitation operator Soma to intervene.
“Following a request received from the Public Sanitation Service, Environmental Protection and Public Domain Administration, the Soma team, accompanied by the specialists of the Sibiu Sanitary and Veterinary Directorate, proceeded to pick up the pig and transport it to the DSVSA headquarters for tests and analyzes regarding the cause of death . Further, the body will be cremated, according to legal procedures”, Soma Sibiu officials stated for the Council Tower.
The situation was also commented on by the chief engineer of the Sibiu Water Management System, who expressed his displeasure that a body can be brought by the waters to the center of Sibiu without anyone noticing how it ended up in this situation.
“Is it really so difficult to identify the Schwein who threw a pig into Cibin? It’s full of cameras in Sibiu! In vain! The hairstyle lasts! Thank you SOMA! The animal was pulled out of the river!”, wrote engineer Sebastian Forir from Romanian Waters.
