Unforgettable party on TVR1 for Easter with Junii Sibiului and Nicolae Furdui Iancu

Junii Sibiului and Nicolae Furdui Iancu invite you to “Party…with song!”: Sunday, May 5, 2024, 9 p.m., on TVR1. This new project, signed by Iuliana Tudor, brings Romanian popular music and extraordinary artistic personalities of Romanian folklore back to the fore.

On Easter Sunday, we invite you in front of the small screen, to a story show, whose protagonist is a reference name in Romanian folklore, with an artistic career of 45 years: Nicolae Furdui Iancu, son of the Apusenilor, whose incomparable voice makes the public vibrate both on the stages of the country and outside it.

Through the show “Party…with song!” TVR honors the professional career of popular music personalities and their contribution to the continuity of traditional Romanian culture. Thus, Junii Sibiului joins a titan of Romanian folklore, in a moment of celebration sprinkled with live music, surprises, authentic emotions of the participants and, of course, dance. The artist was joined by some of his most beloved performers and friends: Mariana Ionescu Căpitănescu, Viorica Macovei, Dinu Iancu Sălăjanu, as well as representatives of the young generation of performers: Tudor Furdui Iancu, Bogdan Toma, Ovidiu Homorodean.

He is a model for generations of young artists and a personality who, through everything he does, leaves an important cultural legacy. Here, in this Junii Sibiului 80 anniversary year, we continue the beautiful collaboration through two special events in April: the anniversary tour in Spain and the special Easter show, during which you will be able to watch the Junii Sibiului dancing both in popular game steps and in rock-and-roll, waltz, tango steps. We are also happy to share with you special moments in the performance of the Cindrelul Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Cristian Obrejan”, declares Silvia Macrea, manager of the CJCPCT “Cindrelul-Junii” Sibiu.
