During today’s ordinary meeting, the county councilors from Prahova approved, among other things, the allocation of 34,280,000 lei for investment projects in 64 localities in the county. The elected officials did not agree that this project should be removed from the agenda, as requested by the group of PSD councilors, and after debating again adversarially, they approved the allocation of funds. PSD announced that, in case of approval, they will address the prefect Emil Drăgănescu so that he can attack it again in the administrative court on the grounds that most of the town halls that received money have PNL mayors.
“We keep bringing up the Prefect’s Institution. (…) I don’t think that the Prefect’s Institution should be used as a political weapon. beyond any discussion, beyond the electoral period, let’s all stick to public institutions. Let’s stop let’s discuss today the fact that we are notifying the Prefect’s Institution because we have someone there who will certainly take into account the respective request of political issues!”, stated the Romania in Action councilor, Mihai Apostolache.
The draft decision was approved with 23 votes in favor. From this decision alone, 64 localities will receive money for various development projects in all administrative sectors, from the construction of nurseries, thermal rehabilitation, passages, asphalting of roads, various repairs and even operating money for certain institutions.

Compared to the last decision, when only 61 localities were caught, now, the funds have increased from 29,980,000 lei to 34,280,000 lei.
At the same time, the project regarding the distribution of the fund at the disposal of the Prahova County Council for the year 2024 and estimates for the years 2025-2027, i.e. the 6% of the income tax for the year 2024, was also approved.
