Children from 20 localities in Ilfov will go to school with electric minibuses

CJ Ilfov announced the launch of the project “Ensuring access to education for students from Ilfov county, through the purchase of school minibuses”.

  • The project is mainly financed by the Environment Fund Administration, with a total value of 25,000,000 lei, and the Ilfov County Council contributes 210,084 lei, to which is added 39,916 lei VAT, money from the county budget.

The goal is to improve access to education for students in Ilfov County – a sustained effort to increase access to education among students in rural areas and to improve air quality in the county.

“How did we make this possible? I struggled to make this project a reality for the thousands of children in Ilfov. What does this mean for children and parents? That the students arrive safely at class, without the parents having to make this journey, also means that the little ones socialize and become a united collective. Basically, this is how we build a united community. Through modern conditions and projects made with and for people. This means investing in the community,” said the president of CJ Ilfov, Hubert Thuma.

School minibuses will arrive in 20 localities in the county: Dascălu, Dărăști, Mogoșoaia, Dragomirești-Vale, Moara Vlasiei, Nuci, Găneasa, Brănești, Jilava, Snagov, Vidra, Cernica, Ciolpani, Gruiu, Tunari, Afumati, Clinceni, Domnești, Buftea and Periș.

In addition, the project will include outreach and publicity activities to ensure adequate awareness among the affected communities and procurement of consultancy for effective implementation of the project.
