Shocking details about the man from Olt who allegedly killed his wife on the street. What he was investigated for in 2023

New details are emerging about the 37-year-old man from the Sprâncenata commune who allegedly stabbed his wife with a knife, on a street in the town of Drăgăneşti – Olt, Monday afternoon. It seems that the individual is also being investigated in a case of rape and sexual assault, reports Agerpres.

The representatives of the Olt County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) informed on Tuesday that in July 2023, his daughter, aged 14, reported by calling 112 that in 2022 she was raped and sexually assaulted by her father, the investigations in the case not yet being carried out completed.

“On July 15, 2023, the Olt County Police Inspectorate was notified, by calling 112, by a minor, aged 14, from Sprâncenata commune, Olt county, regarding the fact that, during 2022, while she was in Austria, she was allegedly raped and sexually assaulted by her father, aged 36. Considering the reported aspects, the police have drawn up a criminal case under the aspect of rape and sexual assault, the investigations being continued to establish the factual situation and order legal measures. Also, after completing the domestic violence risk assessment form, the police issued a provisional protection order against the man,” the IPJ Olt representatives said.

How the girl’s mother died

Following this notification from last summer, the law enforcement officers issued a provisional protection order against the girl’s father, but this restriction was not extended by a court decision. The girl would now benefit from a protection measure within the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Olt.

The girl’s mother died on Monday, at the Slatina County Emergency Hospital, where she was transported after her husband allegedly hit her several times with a knife. Everything would have happened on a street in Drăgăneşti-Olt, and after stabbing the woman the man would have fled, being caught by the police in a short time. Later, his detention was ordered, the man now being investigated for the crime of qualified murder.

The woman had called 112 the day before

At the same time, it emerged that the woman had called 112 the day before she was killed. She would have asked for the help of the law enforcement officers after arguing with her husband, but she would not have agreed to the establishment of a protective measure against her husband. She would have gone with the police to her mother’s place in the town of Drăgăneşti-Olt.

The two have five minor children together. After what happened, two teenage boys remained in the care of their grandparents, and the other three children, including the 15-year-old girl who filed the complaint against her father, benefit from a protection measure at the DGASPC Olt.
