A road accident temporarily blocked DN 1 on Tuesday evening, in the town of Gheghie in the commune of Auşeu. According to BIHOREANUL’s sources, the road event was caused by a policeman, inspector Rafael Tonca, head of the Ștei Police, who, while driving a BMW, drove into the opposite direction and hit two cars.
The road accident occurred at around 18:00, near the bridge located near the Lesiana restaurant. The policeman overtook a column, on a continuous line and did not manage to come back in time, hitting a car from which, then, it ricocheted into another.

During the investigations carried out by the traffic police from Aleșd, traffic on DN 1 was blocked in both directions, however, at the time of publication of this news, road traffic resumed.
“The road accident remained a buffering (registered in the Police records as being without victims – no)“, said the press officer of the Bihor Police, Alin Laza, upon request BIHOREAN.
It is certain that, following the incident, Tonca was left without a driver’s license for a period of 90 days.
