Students from two communes in Alba will go to school with electric minibuses. The Alba County Council recently launched a tender for the purchase of two minibuses of 8 + 1 seats for students, which will arrive in Poșaga and Mogoș communes.

The Alba County Council launched on April 29, in SEAP, an auction for the purchase of two electric minibuses of 8 + 1 seats for the students of the county.

The total value of the contract is estimated at 494,830 lei, without VAT. The investment is financed by PNRR.

According to the documentation, each electric minibus will have a capacity of eight seats, of which one seat for people with disabilities (within the 8 seats, one must be set up for people with disabilities), plus one seat for the driver.

The proposed investment aims to equip pre-university education units with primary and/or secondary level classes in Poșaga and Mogoș communes with electric minibuses.

The aim is thus to improve the transport conditions of students from the disadvantaged/marginalized areas of the county so as to ensure their access to education and the protection of the environment at the same time.

Also, this investment aims at the transition to “green”, which is the central point of the European Union’s agenda for the next decade, and education systems play an important role in these efforts, which must benefit from a modern infrastructure.
