The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has issued a travel warning for Romanians who want to drive to Bulgaria, Greece or Turkey.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs Romanian citizens who are in, intend to travel or transit the Republic of Bulgaria to Greece and Turkey and return to Romania that, during the mini-holiday occasioned by the Easter holidays (April 30 – May 6, 2024), it is expected to record times of waiting pick up at the Bulgarian road border crossing points.

In this context, it is important to correctly inform Romanian drivers and purchase electronic vignettes in a timely manner, before entering the Bulgarian territory, to use the public road infrastructure in Bulgaria, in accordance with the legislation in force.

The Bulgarian authorities recommend that the electronic vignette be purchased online through the website www.bgtoll.bg, with a Romanian version: https://www.bgtoll.bg/ro/rovinieta-electronica, or from the specific terminals installed in the premises of the border points.
