Order and public safety measures of the Olt Gendarmerie during the mini-holiday of May 1 and Easter –

Considering the May 1 mini-holiday and the Orthodox Easter, the Olt County Gendarmerie Inspectorate has increased the number of troops in the field, with over 350 gendarmes on duty to ensure a climate of order and public safety at the events that will take place in public space.

The Olten gendarmes will ensure order and public safety measures, on Wednesday May 1st, on International Labor Day, at the cultural-artistic events organized in the Strehareţi recreation area in the municipality of Slatina and Părurea from Şaru.

On Friday, May 3rd, we will ensure public order at the sports competitions in Slatina, Potcoava and Curtişoara.

On the night of the Resurrection, we ensure that the religious events will take place in complete safety and peace in the area of ​​the places of worship, especially at the Episcopal Cathedral in the municipality of Slatina and the Clocociov Monastery, where a large number of participants are expected.

On the first and second day of Easter, we will ensure order and public safety measures at the cultural-artistic events organized in the localities of Topana, Dobrun, Tia Mare, Izvoarele, Dăneasa and Gura Padinii.

Officials from the Craiova Mobile Gendarmerie Group will ensure public order measures at the religious events, dedicated to the Resurrection of the Lord, at the Călui Monastery and the Brâncoveni Monastery, as well as at the cultural-artistic events organized on Easter Sunday, in Brâncoveni and Redea communes.

During these free days, the personnel of the Olt County Gendarmerie Inspectorate will continue to act, in an integrated system, together with the other structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in congested areas to ensure a climate of order and public safety, the prevention of contraventional and criminal phenomena, the prevention and combating the trafficking and consumption of prohibited substances and the application of legal measures upon detection of their production.

We appeal to all those who will participate in the public demonstrations during this period, to distance themselves from any form of violence, conflict situation or people who disturb the public peace and to request, with confidence, the support of the gendarme crews located nearby or to call the single emergency number 112.
