Led by the mayor of Oradea, Florin Birta, and the president of the Bihor County Council, Ilie Bolojan, the PNL candidates for the municipal and county councils have registered their candidacies, among them are professionals from various fields of activity, but also a former deputy mayor of the commune who 12 years ago was sentenced to 3 months in prison with suspension for illicit trade in alcohol.
“We have to continue what we started, because we still have a lot to do”, said Birta, Bolojan announcing that after Easter the proposed plans for the next 4 years will be publicly presented to both the people of Oradea and the rest of Bihor.
New people
“We have a team of professionals and, as always, the PNL Oradea team has come up with new proposals for the Oradea City Council, people to join their experienced colleagues,” he said on Tuesday, upon leaving the Municipal Electoral Office, mayor Florin Birta, candidate for a new mandate.
Among the new names he referred to are those of the oncologist surgeon Dănuț Dejeu, the director of the Philharmonic, Carmen Rus, the owner of the Due Fratelli pizzeria chain, Mihai Torjoc, the lawyer Laviniu Domocoș, the engineer Claudiu Oros, from ABA Crișuri, or the consultant in business Cristian Dehelean.
Along with them, there are already well-known PNL representatives on the list, such as senator Arina Moș, former deputy mayor, but also many councilors in office, such as Camelia Dulca, Ligia Burta, Teofil Filimon, Călin Barabaș, Anca Popescu, Răzvan Tau and others.
The list for the Oradea City Council is closed, as in 2020, by the former mayor Ilie Bolojan, then president of the Bihor County Council.

And on the list for Bihor CJ there are new proposals, including Dumitru Fechete, director of the President complex in Băile Felix, economists Halasz Attila and Ramona Mateaș, director of AFIR Cristian Buzlea, professor Horea Abrudan, head of IȘJ Bihor, social worker Florentina Daragiu, doctor Daniel Pop, former leader of ALDE Bihor and candidate for Oradea City Hall in 2020, but also Traian Turle (photo)former deputy mayor (also from ALDE) in Buntești commune, detained in 2012 and then sentenced to 3 months in prison with suspension for illicit trade in alcohol.
“I was rehabilitated,” Turle said BIHOREANwho asked him about his past, adding that the criminal case from 12 years ago would have had “a political substratum”.
Among the PNL proposals for CJ Bihor is also a former county councilor who resigned in 2020, dissatisfied with the management of the organization, the dentist Sebastian Lascu (on position 23, considered eligible), as well as the former municipal councilor from Oradea Adrian Felea, university.
From the current set of county elected officials, the list has retained, for example, both vice-presidents, Mircea Mălan (position 2) and Călin Gal (position 18), the director of the County Library, Anca Șchiop, the academic Marcela Prada, the doctor Carmen Pantiș, the engineers Constantin Nenny and Mihai Toderici.
As in 2020, the list for CJ Bihor of PNL is closed by mayors considered representative, those from Sântandrei (Ioan Mărcuș), Oșorhei (Ioan Gligor), Cociuba Mare (Mihai Sferle), Tileagd (Adrian Codrean) and Oradea (Florin Birta).

“For the next term we intend to continue the projects started in this term, we have 68 km of new roads that we have to finish this year and next year, we have the tram-train project, we will complete the Multipurpose Cultural Center and the other projects that will change the face the county. In the next month, we will be in the whole county, in Oradea, presenting our projects so that on June 9 the people of Bihor can give an informed opinion”, said the president of PNL Bihor, Ilie Bolojan, in the race for a new mandate .
Bolojan also stated that “after the campaign starts, after Easter” both he and the candidate for Oradea City Hall, Florin Birta, will organize press conferences “so that the people of Bihor know what we will propose for the coming years” .
