The current mayor of the capital, Nicusor Dan, is in first place in the voting intentions of Bucharest residents for the post of general mayor, with 38.5% of the options, followed by Cristian Popescu Piedone – 27.4% and Gabriela Firea – 21.4% , according to a survey carried out by INSCOP at the request of News.ro.

Nicusor Dan also leads the notoriety list, in second place is Gabriela Firea, and in third, Cristian Popescu Piedone. Cristian Popescu Piedone leads, however, in the top of the trust, being followed by Nicusor Dan and Gabriela Firea.

Regarding the vote for the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest (CGMB), the scores are: United Right Alliance – 31.4%, PSD – 29%, PNL – 13.9%. Almost 70% of those questioned declare that they will certainly go to vote.

  • The opinion poll was carried out by INSCOP Research at the behest of News.ro Press Agency. The data were collected between April 23 and 27, through the CATI method (telephone interviews), through the questionnaire. The volume of the simple, stratified sample is 2,100 people, representative of the significant socio-demographic categories (sex, age, occupation) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania, aged 18 and over. The maximum allowable error of the data is ± 2.14% at a 95% confidence level.

Notoriety and trust of the main candidates for PMB

As for the current general mayor, 98.5% of Bucharest residents have heard of Nicusor Dan and 38.5% of those who have heard of Nicusor Dan have a lot of trust in him. Relative to the total population, 38% trust Nicusor Dan.

98.2% of the inhabitants of the Capital have heard of Gabriela Firea and 32.5% of them credit her with a lot of confidence (31.9% compared to the total population who live or have a floating visa in the Capital).

97.9% of Bucharest residents have heard of Cristian Popescu Piedone and 40.2% of them have a lot of trust in him (compared to 39.4% of the total population).

60.4% of Bucharesters have heard of the PNL candidate, Sebastian Burduja, and 20.6% of those who have heard of the liberal leader have a lot of confidence in him (respectively 12.5% ​​compared to the total population of the Capital).

AUR candidate Mihai Enache benefits from a notoriety of 21.2% and a high and very high level of trust from those who have heard of him of 7.6%, respectively 1.6% compared to the total population of Bucharest.

Estimating attendance at local elections

On a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 means “definitely no” they will vote and 10 “definitely yes” they will vote, 6.6% of Bucharesters chose 1, 0.5% chose 2, 0.7% have chose 3, 0.3% chose 4, 3.0% chose 5, 1.4% chose 6, 6.8% chose 7. 5.3% indicate 8, 5.5% 9 and 69.3% indicate 10, i.e. they declare that they will certainly appear in the elections local). 5% of those surveyed do not know or do not answer the question.

Voting intention for the General Council

Compared to the 74.5% of respondents who expressed a voting option, if next Sunday there were local elections for the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest, 31.4% of the votes would be obtained by the United Right Alliance (USR, PMP, Forta Dreptei), 29% of the votes would go to PSD, 13.9% to PNL and 10.6% to AUR. PUSL would obtain 6.7% of the votes, PER 2.7%, SOS Romania 2.6%, 0.7% would vote for an independent candidate for CGMB and 2.3% indicate the “other party” option.

Voting intention for the general mayor of Bucharest

If next Sunday the citizens of Bucharest were called to vote for their new Mayor General, out of the 89.1% who express an intention to vote, 38.5% would vote for Nicusor Dan (supported by the United Right Alliance – USR, PMP, Forța Dreptei), 27.4% for Cristian Popescu Piedone (PUSL), 21.4% for Gabriela Firea (PSD), 10.1% for Sebastian Burduja (PNL) and 2.4% for Mihai Enache.

0.1% of respondents indicated another candidate, while no respondent declared that they would vote for an independent.

A survey carried out by Avangarde commissioned by the PSD, published on Sunday, indicates that Nicușor Dan would win the elections for the General City Hall with 31% of the votes, while Gabriela Firea, the newly entered PSD candidate, would come in second place with 24 percent, followed by Cristian Popescu Piedone (PUSL), with 20%. According to the Avangarde survey, Sebastian Burduja, PNL, would get 15%, and Mihai Enache, AUR, – 7%.
