Bridge over Tisa, Romania-Ukraine, awaiting government approval

The executive could approve, in Tuesday’s meeting, an agreement with the Government of Ukraine regarding the construction of the border road bridge over the Tisa river, on the border between the two states, in the area of ​​Sighetu Marmaţiei – Bila Tserkva localities.

According to a press release sent, on Monday, by the Government, several draft decisions are on the agenda of the meeting, including the one for the approval of the aforementioned agreement, signed in Kyiv on October 18, 2023.

The executive is also to adopt the 2024 revenue and expenditure budgets for several institutions: the National Company “Administration of the Maritime Ports of the Danube” – SA Galaţi, the National Company “Administration of the Maritime Ports” – SA Constanţa, the Society Uzina Mecanică Orăștie SA, the Society CUPRU MIN SA Abrud, the National Society of Mineral Waters SA, the National Society of Salt SA, the National Company of Copper, Gold and Iron MINVEST – SA Deva, the National Company Loteria Română SA, the Autonomous Directorate of Technologies for Nuclear Energy.

On the agenda of the Executive meeting is also the draft law for the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the United States of America on collaboration in the use of travel information, signed on January 19, 2024, in Bucharest, as well as a decision for the distribution by administrative units/subdivisions -territorial and state pre-university education units of the amount of 97,099,000 lei, for the financing of the “Healthy Meal” national program, during the period of teaching activities in 2024.

The members of the Cabinet will also discuss a memorandum regarding the set of priorities in the field of climate change and the action plan for their fulfillment, related to the year 2024.

Another topic of the Government meeting will be the stage of preparation and organization of the elections for the members of the European Parliament from Romania in 2024 and the elections for local public administration authorities this year.
