A good news, long awaited, was made today by the municipality, through the voice of the mayor Cristian Gentea.
“We are also starting the modernization of the Aripi synthetic football field of the High School with the Viitorul Sports Program in Pitesti!” – the mayor sent.

The design and execution contract was signed today, April 29, 2024. According to him, in 4 months the space should be completely rehabilitated.
What will be done:
“With a length of 80.38 meters and a width of 40.20 meters, the field used by the registered children at the Pitesti club will be redeveloped by replacing the current synthetic carpet with the best quality 60 millimeter artificial grass, marked with paint white resistant to environmental factors, new polyethylene gates, LED lighting!”, Cristian Gentea also said.

In the Pitesti neighborhood of Craiovei, near the “Mihai Eminescu” School (former no. 11), there are 3 football fields, of different sizes, that belong to the Sports Program High School (LPS).
One grass, one smaller synthetic than the grass, and one more behind the synthetic pitch, smaller sizeswhich has been left to decay for years.

“Modernization of the football field “Aripi” – High School with Sports Program “Viitorul”: design and execution contract signed!
Today, April 29, 2024, the Pitesti City Hall signed the design and execution contract related to the modernization works of the “Aripi” synthetic football field of the “Viitorul” High School with Sports Program, in Pitesti.
The contractor is the Association between SC BLUART ROM GRUP SRL (leader), SC SILVORA TERA SRL (associate), SC ENERGO PREST COMPANY SRL (associate) with the subcontractor SC SOLEXPERT COMPANY SRL. The value of the contract is 600,096.32 including VAT, and its duration is 4 months (design – 1 month, execution of works – 3 months).
Currently, the field is used by children registered at the “Viitorul” sports club as a football field. On the site there is a football pitch with synthetic grass, installed in 2007, surrounded by a wire mesh fence mounted on metal poles, illuminated by 6 LED lamps also mounted on metal poles. The existing synthetic turf on the field is worn, has an unpleasant aesthetic appearance, has bumps and no longer meets the quality requirements necessary for playing football.
The works to be carried out are:
– dismantling the existing synthetic carpet on the land and dismantling the existing gates;
– applying a layer of sand 3 cm thick, over the existing support layer;
– installation of a new artificial lawn, with a thickness of 60 mm;
-marking the land with white paint, resistant to the action of environmental factors;
-installation of the two gates with polyethylene mesh.
The land intended for rehabilitation has a built-up area of 3,166 square meters and belongs to the public domain of the Municipality of Pitesti, being located in the inner city of the town.”
