A team from the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Gorj, which also includes a psychologist, went to Munich on Monday to take over the 6-year-old minor who was illegally taken out of Romania and taken to Germany and to accompany him back to the country, reports Agerpres.

UPDATE 15.13 Minister Natalia Intotere declared, on Digi24, that the little boy is at the Romanian consulate in Munich. She also said that the other two brothers from Romania are in the custody of the Directorate for Child Protection, Gorj.

According to a press release sent, on Monday, by DGASPC Gorj, during the day of Monday, the necessary steps for repatriation were carried out, the minor being taken from the German authorities, currently he is on his way to Romania.

“The steps necessary for repatriation were directly supported by the president of the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption, Secretary of State Rareş-Petru Achiriloaie, who personally traveled to Germany. When the minor arrives at DGASPC Gorj, the general director will order, in accordance with the law, the emergency placement with a professional foster care assistant, where his 8-year-old sister is also located”, the press release states .

DGASPC Gorj specialists will offer the child all the necessary support in order to overcome the trauma he went through, being immediately included in a psychological counseling program.

“Right from the beginning, in solving this case, we benefited from the support and collaboration of DIICOT, the National Authority for the Protection of Child Rights and Adoption, the Ministry of Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities, to whom we thank for their involvement and good collaboration, a fact that led to the effective management and resolution of this case. We express our conviction that, in the event that certain persons are guilty of violating the legal provisions in this case, they will be held accountable before the courts,” the cited source emphasizes.

The authorities are conducting an investigation, after a 6-year-old child from a commune in Gorj County was taken out of Romania with false documents and taken to Germany, according to some sources.

The representatives of DGASPC Gorj specified that they informed DIICOT about this case.

The other two brothers of the boy were taken over by the representatives of DGASPC Gorj together with the Police representatives, and a special protection measure was instituted for them – emergency placement with professional foster carers.
