The minor from Gorj sold for 8,000 lei in Germany will be repatriated

A team from the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Gorj, which also includes a psychologist, went to Munich to take over the minor and accompany him back to the country.

During the same day, the necessary steps were taken for repatriation, the minor being taken over by the German authorities, currently on his way to Romania.

The steps required for repatriation were directly supported by the president of the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption, Secretary of State Rareș-Petru Achiriloaie, who personally traveled to Germany.

The child will be placed with a foster carer

When the minor arrives at DGASPC Gorj, the general director will order, under the law, emergency placement with a professional foster care assistant, where his 8-year-old sister is also.

“At the same time, we will make sure that the specialists of DGASPC Gorj will offer him all the necessary support in order to overcome the trauma he went through, being immediately included in a psychological counseling program.

From the very beginning, in solving this case, we benefited from the support and collaboration of DIICOT, the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption, the Ministry of Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities, to whom we thank for their involvement and good collaboration, which led to the effective management and resolution of this case.

We also thank the team of specialists from DGASPC Gorj, who handled the case! We express our belief that, in the situation where certain people are guilty of violating the legal provisions in this case, they will answer to the justice.

In everything it undertakes, DGASPC Gorj defends and promotes the rights of children, seeking to respect their best interests, and those who harm or endanger life, physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development, bodily integrity, physical health or psyche of the child, must answer as harshly as possible before the law”, according to a press release from DGASPC Gorj.
