The West Regional Development Agency announces the organization of the first regional cybersecurity event addressed to small and medium-sized enterprises. The topic covers the current challenges in the field and the solutions available to SMEs in terms of cyber security: software, hardware and financing options.
The event will take place on May 14, from 10 a.m., in the ARChA Hall of the Timișoara Polytechnic University.
Participants at CyberTM 2024 they will be able to learn information about the cyber threats that private companies face, but also practical solutions to protect themselves in the face of these threats, to improve the security of the organizations they represent and to comply with legal data protection standards. The event will feature three major themes, each of which will be covered by presentations and panels with expert speakers, who will address the most relevant aspects of cyber security for SME owners and managers.
CyberTM, say the organizers, is a good networking opportunity with industry experts and other business owners and the starting point for a study on the cybersecurity practices of SMEs in the Western Region. The organizers propose a “zero moment” assessment of the cyber security practices of companies in the region. To participate in this study, the interested public is invited to complete the following questionnaire.
Do you have an explicit cybersecurity policy/rules? But a team to handle it and an allocated budget? How do you manage access to sensitive information? Do you provide employees with cybersecurity training? Do you regularly update your operating systems and software? These are just some of the things the organizers want to find out through a questionnairedeclaring that the answers will help them discover good practices, for the benefit of the entire business community in the Western Region and beyond.
