Great weather is forecast for the upcoming mini-vacation. Meteorologists estimate maximums that can reach up to 24 degrees Celsius. For many, the party has already started. They took time off and enjoy hiking, visiting or picnicking. On the other hand, the weather will be even easier and more accurate to forecast from now on. Today, Romania has a complete system of 7 state-of-the-art radar systems.

The beautiful and warm weather and the children’s vacation have already filled the playgrounds, terraces, forests and zoos.

Beyond the forecasts of meteorologists, popular wisdom has its own forecast for the weather, especially as we enter May, the first month without the letter R from Rău in its name.

Romania has new weather forecasting equipment. Seven new, state-of-the-art radars are now operating throughout the country. The last one was put into operation in Bucharest.

In particular, extreme weather phenomena will be able to be detected more quickly. The technology of the old radars was at the level of 2003.

The seven new radars cost 25 million euros.

In the next period, other investments are scheduled: the modernization of the lightning detection network, the expansion of the network of automatic weather stations, but also the establishment of the Agrometeorological Center, which is already being worked on.
