The first kilometers of the Moldova Motorway (A7) will open in August. There will be 14 kilometers on lot 2, Mizil-Pietroasele built by Coni-Trace

The first kilometers of the Moldova Motorway (A7) should be opened at the end of July, beginning of August, according to the Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, who checked the Ploiesti-Buzau section. Minister Grindeanu referred to half of lot 2 Mizil-Pietroasele, 14 kilometers of the Romanian-Bulgarian association Coni-Trace. Lot 1 Ploiesti (Dumbrava) – Mizil has a length of 21 km., and the Pizzarotti-Retter association is approx. 60% with a deadline for completion this fall (the initial deadline was April 2024, extended for October). Lot 2 Mizil -Pietroasele/Costești has a total length of 28 km., and must be completed, according to the extended deadline, also this fall.

“I can announce, as far as I can see and from what I have spoken with the builders, probably at the end of July, beginning of August, we will probably drive on the first kilometers of the A 7 Highway, I mean 14 kilometers on lot 2.” – Sorin Grindeanu.

It will not be possible to travel on the full highway from Ploiești to Buzău in 2024, because the works have only just begun on lot 3 Pietroasele-Buzău (14 km. Nurol lot).

,,Good evolution on approximately 50 kilometers of the Ploiești-Buzău Highway sector (63.25 km).

On Lot 1 Dumbrava – Mizil (21 km) the physical stage of works is approaching 60% and on Lot 2 Mizil- Pietroasele (28.35 km) the physical stage has exceeded 61%. In particular, the Romanian builders working on the two lots are very well mobilized, which proves that they approach this construction seriously. For Lot 3 Pietroasele – Buzău Municipality, the Turkish builder has already started the preliminary works for the construction of the 13.9 km. At this moment, all 13 lots/sections of A 7, Ploiești – Pașcani are in various stages of construction. By the end of this year, according to the contractual terms, the first 2 Lots from Ploiești-Buzău will be put into circulation.” – Sorin Grindeanu.

Minister Grindeanu promised all 82 km. between Buzău and Focșani (4 lots), although UMB, the strongest builder in Romania, said that it “hopes” to finish them
