Four men between the ages of 20 and 35 are being investigated by the police of the Buzău Organized Crime Service and DIICOT prosecutors, under preventive arrest, for high-risk drug trafficking, in a continuous form.
According to the IPJ Buzău, the investigations showed that, between December 2022 and April 26, 2024, they would have procured, transported, possessed and sold, repeatedly, high-risk drugs (cannabis) to consumers in Buzău county, with amounts including between 50 and 60 lei for a dose. It was also noted that two of the men would have acted as the main suppliers of high-risk drugs for the other two persons under investigation.
“On April 27, following the 14 home search warrants executed, in Buzău and Ilfov counties, quantities of high-risk and high-risk drugs (cannabis, ketamine, MDMA in powder form and tablets) were discovered and seized ), 3 precision scales, 5 grinders, 11 mobile phones, 3,420 euros and 12,750 lei, as well as other evidence. On the same date, the prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism – Buzău Territorial Office ordered the detention of the 4 men, aged between 20 and 35, for 24 hours, and later the judge of rights and freedoms from The Buzău Court ordered their preventive arrest for 30 days”, says a press release from the Buzău IPJ.
The action benefited from the support of the policemen of the Ploieşti Organized Crime Fighting Brigade and the Ilfov Organized Crime Fighting Service, as well as the gendarmes from the Buzău County Gendarmerie Inspectorate, the Ploieşti Gendarmerie Mobile Group and the Special Intervention Brigade of the Gendarmerie.
