Unirea Ungheni – CS Universitari Alba Iulia 1-3 (0-0), in the play-off of the third tier!!! The students struck

Alba Iulia University CS gave the blow to Ungheni, in the first game after parting with coach Bruno Vienescu! The formation from Cetatea Marii Uniri won 3-1 (0-0), after a sensational second act, in which they came back from 0-1.

The interim provided by Nicolae Ghisa also brought the first victory in the play-off, after 4 defeats, against an opponent on the wave, who had won the previous 5 disputes!

The hosts opened the scoring immediately after the break, through Ov. Horsia, and a minute later Gilyen equalized. It was the first goal of the students in the play-off, after 4 matches, respectively after a long period of sterility of 476 minutes! The visitors returned the score with the success of Pîntea (59), a surprising result! A spectacular comeback by the visitors, who scored again through Niakate (75)

The Albaiulian group parted ways with coach Bruno Vienescu, and the interim will be provided by the Nicolae Ghisa – Raul Unchiaș tandem until the end of the championship, when Alin Minteuan will be installed. CSU is the only team among the 40 present in the play-offs that did not score or take a point in this phase of the competition.
