New information in the case of the six-year-old minor, from Gorj, who was allegedly sold to a German citizen for the sum of 8,000 lei! He would be brought to Romania in the shortest possible time, writes Antena 3 CNN.

When did the incident occur?

The individual would have used a fake power of attorney to get him out of the country. Now, DIICOT prosecutors have opened an investigation into the case of the sold little boy. The incident would have taken place in December of last year, but the authorities only found out when a notification to verify the presence of the minor at home appeared on the address of the Child Protection Directorate in Gorj.

The Minister of the Family, Natalia Intotero intervened in this case and made important clarifications.

“I confirm the fact that there is an intense and very good collaboration with the authorities for social protection in Germany and that on Monday, the president of the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Adoption will meet with them and that we are trying to repatriate the minor home as soon as possible.

The child’s siblings, in the care of foster carers

Also, the minister specified that he requested the president of the Child Protection Authority to intensify checks in all counties of the country. Last but not least, Natalia Intotero added that she did not speak personally with the minor’s parents, but she visited his brothers this morning. In the future, they will benefit from psychological counseling.

The authorities decided to pick up the child’s two siblings, namely an eight-year-old girl and the two-year-old and six-month-old boy.

They are now in a safe place, in the care of the state.
