The Man Who Stabbed A Woman With A Knife, In The Old Center Of Bucharest, Arrested. The attack, “random one”

According to the prosecutors, the attack took place around 5:16 p.m., when the defendant “attacked a 57-year-old woman with a knife, causing a stab wound in the abdominal area.”

The victim ran away and took refuge inside a nearby store, and the man tried, unsuccessfully, to follow her.

He was found on the spot by the policemen from the Old Center Police Service, with the knife on him.

“From the available data, no relationship between the defendant and the victim resulted, the attack being a random one. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he received emergency medical care”, state the prosecutors.

The man was initially detained for a period of 24 hours, and later the judge of rights and freedoms from the Bucharest Court ordered his preventive arrest for a period of 30 days.
