Cosmin Vasile continues his big development projects of Dolj county with a new team

PSD Dolj submitted its list of candidates for the Dolj County Council today.

The stake of the elections on June 9, for the presidency of the Dolj County Council and its composition, is, in fact, the chance for the development of the county. The Dolj Social Democratic Party organization is moving forward with the support of the current president of the Dolj County Council, Cosmin Vasile, taking into account his vast experience in administration, but also the performances of the last 4 years.

Moreover, from the position of president in office, Cosmin Vasile demonstrated that large projects, of economic importance for the entire region, were completed. He proposed, since the 2020 campaign, not to miss any funding line for non-reimbursable funds, and the promise made then seems to have been fulfilled.

As well as the 50 projects that he presented to the electorate and which has already been completed until today.

Also, during his mandate, the largest amounts ever recorded were directed for the modernization and maintenance of county roads, for the development of Craiova International Airport, for the modernization and equipment of medical units in the county and, in particular, the County Emergency Clinical Hospital , but also for saving some historical monuments and introducing them into the visiting circuit.

“I am coming before the voters with a team made up of people who have contributed to the great performance of the projects in the last 4 years, but also with new people, whom we have brought with us due to their skills and the ability to bring the contribution to what we want to build in the next mandate.

They are honest people, people of integrity, people supported by me and the party. They all have experience in their fields of activity and can help me work on the development strategy of Dolj county. It is not an easy task for them. At the Dolj County Council, we keep the engines running every day, not just during the election campaign.

I am convinced that I have chosen the best working formula, but it is important that those who come to the polls understand the power of their vote and contribute to the stability of the future County Council”, he explained Cosmin Vasile, president in office and candidate of PSD Dolj.

The most important projects that will come to the table of the future county councilors are already at a certain stage of maturity. Most of them have secured financing from non-reimbursable funds, and others have already reached the execution phase.

“200 million euros is the amount attracted in 2023 for new development initiatives. Most of the projects are for education, where the largest sums ever directed to these fields will end up.

It means schools across the county that will be equipped, libraries built and equipped as a digital learning hub, electric school minibuses to transport students or building one of the 16 funded campuses, nationally, to prepare students and students, in a dual system, for labor market.

As before, we will continue the county road modernization projects, we will complete the largest newly built airport terminal in Romania and we will establish a cancer treatment center, the only one in the region. We also have a bold project, that of establishing, every year, a new cultural institution, as a form of saving and capitalizing on the local cultural heritage”, he explains the president of the Dolj County Council, Cosmin Vasile.

The support of the PSD Dolj county organization for Cosmin Vasile, as president of CJ Dolj, is not a surprise. Since last year, the president of PSD Dolj, Claudiu Manda, announced that he is counting on the same people both at the Craiova City Hall, by supporting the mayor Lia Olguța Vasilescu, and at the Dolj County Council, by deciding to validate the candidacy, for the his second mandate, of the first vice-president of the county organization, Cosmin Vasile.

The PSD candidate is a lawyer by profession, a graduate of the Faculty of Law in Craiova and the Faculty of Political Sciences.

Cosmin Vasile is 45 years old and already has 20 years of experience in administration. In 2004, his name was proposed on the list of county councilors, and the vote since then validated him, becoming the youngest county councilor in that legislature.

After three mandates as a county councilor, during which he also held the position of director of the Craiova Metropolitan Area, for 4 years, Cosmin Vasile became vice-president, and, from 2020, he won, by unanimous vote, the position of president of the County Council Dolj.

All this time, he represented the Social Democratic Party, of which he has been a member since the age of 18, since 1997, when he was a student of the “Buzești Brothers” National College.
