The former head of the Oncology Department of the Suceava County Hospital was sentenced on Thursday, April 23, after admitting her actions. She was sent to court for 280 cases of bribery, and the solution handed down by the Suceava Court is not final.
The oncologist doctor Anca Dumitrovici Ababneh followed the simplified procedure of recognition of the facts, so that the process ended already from the first court term. The established penalty is two years and six months, but the doctor will not end up in prison because the judge decided to suspend the execution of the sentence.
In the case of the former head of the Oncology Department, a probation period of four years was also established, during which she must not commit any other crimes. The judge also decided to maintain judicial control, which means that Anca Dumitrovici Ababneh cannot exercise her profession.
The doctor was sent to court for 280 cases of bribery. She received goods such as honey, boxes of candy or various amounts of money.
All of these assets were seized during the January 2023 raids and are being seized pending the end of the trial.
