A spectacular place in Romania came to life in just a few days and attracts more and more tourists.
The daffodil meadow near Târgu Jiu bloomed earlier than in other years. Because the flowers are protected by law, tourists are encouraged to admire them without taking them home.
Plants have been protected by law for 17 years. For many, Poiana Narciselor is the perfect setting for successful photos.
“We exhibit every photo here as part of an art exhibition. Nature does not wait and we come every year to capture these beautiful moments”, says Claudiu Dumitrescu, photographer.

Grazing is prohibited in the nature reserve, and the fine is from 5,000 lei to 10,000 lei, states the Environmental Protection Agency.
Every year, on May 1, the daffodils of Târgu-Jiu have their own celebration.
The largest clearing in Romania and in Europe is the Dumbrava Vadului Natural Reserve, in Braşov, which covers 400 hectares, the Observer states.
