Iustin Cionca: “Arad benefited from European funds, we have historical investments”!

The president of the Arad County Council, Iustin Cionca, claims that in the period 2016-2024, public works worth over 6 billion euros were carried out in Arad county, most of them from European funds. Along with the money from Brussels, the works in Arad county were also financed by government programs, the budget of the County Council and the budgets of the town halls (we specify that the PNL administrations represent 76% of the total of those in the county and are also the best performers, and this is very visible, even on a simple walk through these localities, where new parks have been laid out, streets and sidewalks are paved, schools and kindergartens have been modernized).

“I know that there is still a lot of work, that’s why I am running for the position of president of the Arad County Council, together with the PNL mayors and vice-mayors, county councilors and local councilors, liberals from all over Arad county and with all those who, although they are not politically affiliated, they want the development of Arad to continue. Today, at the County Council, whose president I am, we are working on the biggest projects in the history of Arad, for which we won European funding”, declared Iustin Cionca.

The big projects of the Arad County Council are:

– the Arad-Oradea expressway, which will remove heavy traffic from the Gai neighborhood and reduce travel time to workplaces

– the eastern belt of Arad, with a bridge over Mureș at Fântânele and a passage over the railway at Șagu

– construction of the Maternal-Pediatric Complex

-modernization of the entire operating room at the County Hospital

-renovation of the main building of the Municipal Hospital, historical monument

– the 74 km network of roads in the north of the county (Mișca-Apateu-Berechiu, Seleuș-Șicula, Cermei-Berechiu-Bihor county border, Șepreus-Cermei-Beliu)

In addition to these projects, there are also important government projects, of which three, extremely important, are detached:

-modernization of the Arad-Deva and Arad-Timișoara railway, with the construction of five new railway bridges over Mureș and the largest railway tunnel built in Romania, after the Revolution (at Bătuța)

-modernization of the electricity network in the county, which connects to the European electricity transmission network

-The Anghel Saligny National Program, through which approx. 1 billion euros goes to Arad county for works to expand the water and sewerage network, to expand the gas network and to build roads and objectives of local interest, at the level of communes and cities in the county.
