The students of several schools in Ploiești, who were supposed to arrive in Brașov on Wednesday, were stuck in the Buda station (Prahova county), after a malfunction in the locomotive was reported. The children were on a “Green Week” school trip.
Although at 11:30, the students accompanied by their teachers should have arrived in Brașov, the children did not reach their destination even at this time. “We have already been waiting stuck on the platform in Buda station for two hours. We were supposed to be in Brașov at 11.30 with Regio Călători train 11029. We were promised that we would be picked up by 11031 which was supposed to arrive at 11.30, but now we found out that it is 50 minutes late. Nobody communicates anything clear and official to us”transmitted one of the companions of the groups of children.
Regio Călători confirmed that the train 11029 that was supposed to take the children to Brașov encountered a locomotive failure.
“We know the situation, another train coming from Iași should pick up the group in about 15 minutes”, the representatives of the private operator of trains and rail passenger transport in Romania said, writes realitatea.net
