Shock and horror in Lunca commune, where last Monday, early in the morning, the mayor’s nephew Ioan Popa, who is also the mayor’s personal adviser, was woken up from his sleep by masked men.
The police had come to rummage through their house in search of a weapon, the reason being downright terrifying: the man, Flavius Mihuţa by name, was complained by a young woman from the commune, the pregnant wife of a policeman, that he had threatened a with the gun.
It happened, say Bihorel’s sources, about two weeks ago, after a party organized by a neighbor of the policeman and attended by Mihuţa, who, on the way home, at the wheel of the car and hot from blood pulled a gun out the car window and pointed it at the woman on the sidewalk.
Curiously, the policemen who searched her home did not find anything, and Mihuţa swore at the hearings that the young woman did not see well, as he never had a gun in his life. The law enforcement officers recorded the statement and took it for granted.
Obviously, until proven otherwise, because research continues. And since the man is known in the area as a big slobber and a drunkard who needs two glasses of wine, it wouldn’t be surprising if he commits it again…
