Bronze medal for the brilliant student from Gorj who qualified for four Olympiads – GorjOnline

Mario Scurtu, the student from Gorj who managed to qualify for four national Olympiads, won the bronze medal in Mathematics. In addition, he expects an even better result at the Physics Olympiad: “The subjects were of an average level. They weren’t entirely difficult, although there were some tough ones. I hope to get a good result. 469 students from grades VI-XII participated”, said Mario. In the next period, he will participate in the “barrages” at the Physics Olympiad and the Astrophysics Olympiad, at the end of May.

Mario also told how the performance was able to qualify for four Olympics. He confessed that everything started from a great passion: “We are talking about a very great passion for the exact sciences and a very strong aspiration towards this dream, which is correlated with my passion for the Cosmos, so my passion for Physics was born and, later, Mathematics as a tool of Physics, and then related disciplines, such as Linguistics, and more specialized, such as Astrophysics”.

Mario is a multiple medalist at national Olympics and international competitions.
