The International Light Music Festival for Children and Young People “Voices of Angels”, held between April 19-21 in Suceava, at the “Matei Vișniec” Municipal Theater, was also this year a benchmark with the participation of over 200 children from all counties of the country.

The Romantic Art Cultural Association in partnership with the City Hall and the Suceava Local Council managed to put Suceava on the map of the most important light music festivals in Romania, the Voices of Angels festival being ranked among the top five festivals of its kind in our country. This is largely due to the well-known jury made up of reference names of Romanian music and culture such as: composers Mihai Alexandru, Viorel Gavrilă, Claudiu Bulete and George Vanvu, established artists Cezar Ouatu, Tudor Turcu and Ovi Jacobsen, teachers and musicians Crina Mardare, Mihaela Gârlea, Florin Fodor and Andrei Morar, but to the good organization, partners and sponsors who support this festival.

This year the competition was held in three sections: Soloists Section with age categories between 4-20 years, Creation Section and Small Groups Section. The development days in the contest took place on Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, respectively, and on Sunday, the third day, the guests’ recital and the Laureates’ Gala took place.

The Grand Trophy was handed out by the vice-mayor Lucian Harșovschi, representative of Suceava Municipality and Suceava Local Council, and the cash prize worth 3000 lei offered by the main sponsor and official partner of the festival, the Fly Music Romania Company, was offered by the founders of the company Ioana and Florin Fodor. The Grand Prize from the Creation Section worth 2,000 lei was offered by an anonymous sponsor from Oradea who wants to stimulate the art of musical creation in the field of light music.

The recital on Sunday, the third day of the festival, was a high-class one, the audience enjoying almost two hours of concert offered by the Suceava band Artis Band and festival guests: Cezat Ouatu, Tudor Turcu, Ovi Jacobsen, Mihaela Gârlea, Elena Simionesei, Gabriela Morar, Simina Ghioc and the winner of the last edition of the festival, Delia Racu from Onești. The dancers of the Zumba Kids Studio Dance Troupe from Gura Humorului led by choreographer Andrei Podariu filled the stage with energy, joy and color.

All the competitors were awarded by receiving trophies, diplomas and sweets and the coordinating teachers received medals and diplomas of merit.

The official media partners Radio Iași broadcast the event live throughout the two days of the contest and on the third day, Sunday, the show and the awards gala on the Facebook page of the “Voci de Ingeri Suceava” festival and on the page of facebook Radio Iași.
