At a time when many schools in Romania face the lack of adequate infrastructure for sports activities, Secondary School no. 30 “Gheorghe Șițeica” from Constanța becomes an example of care for the health gained through sports of his students!
As of Tuesday, April 23, the students and teachers of the “Gheorghe Țițeica” School are the direct beneficiaries of an investment that “Cuget Liber” wrote about a year ago, when Prof. Florentina Țigmeanu, then director of this unit, informed us winning his campaign. A modern gym with energy efficiency and state-of-the-art facilities, made entirely with the support of the AMEROPA group of companies: Chimpex and Ameropa Grains.

All those present at the inauguration of the new gym at School 30 did not stop appreciating the success story of a public-private partnership born from perseverance and passion for education. Both Serhan Yardimci, representative of Chimpex, and Estera Duru, representative of Ameropa Grains, wanted to emphasize that investing in education means investing in the future.
“A project to support children to play sports, to learn team spirit. Sport is not only about excellence, it is a training for resilience. Excellence and resilience are essential in today’s Romania. That is why, in the project at School 30, we got involved with everything that was necessary. Chimpex has been in the port of Constanța for 53 years and is open to supporting the community. We hope that this project will be a model. Good luck, School 30!”, was the message sent by Serhan Yardimci.
On the same note, of the successful public-private partnership, Estera Duru also spoke. “The future will be more and more about the power of community. About what we can do together. Care for education and care for the local community are values in which we, Ameropa Grains, constantly invest. And we see that this model of success, through the involvement of the private sector in public education, should be scaled by the entire local business community. Together we can have a significant impact for the future of children in Constanța. We thank all those involved, the school management, Mrs. Târziu, the director, who brought this project to a successful conclusion, but also Mrs. Florentina Țigmeanu, who initiated it. Congratulations to everyone!”, the representative of Ameropa sent.
Also, the president of the Constanța County Council, Mihai Lupu, wanted to congratulate the success of this partnership, which proves that there are still companies interested in the future of society. “I came with great joy to welcome the initiative of this public-private partnership that encourages children’s health, that encourages education,” said the president of the CJC, who offered a few soccer balls as a gift.
The current director of School 30, Marinica Târziu, expressed her joy to be together on this extremely long-awaited day by the entire community, students, teachers, parents, namely the inauguration of the thermostatic balloon in which they will be held from now on physical education classes. “One by one, we had to give up spaces that are part of the regular structure of a school, including the gym. Over the years, facility managers have approached local decision-makers to resolve this thorny issue, without success. Thus, the students were forced to conduct their physical education classes in inappropriate conditions, in classrooms or in school hallways. In the year 2023, the management of the school at that time, Mrs. Florentina Țigmeanu, managed to get sponsorships, so that a gym could be built in the shape of this balloon we are in now. We want to welcome the involvement of the business environment for the completion of this beneficial project for the current students, but also for the generations that will continue”, the school manager said.
The launch event of the gym of School no. 30 ended with an award ceremony for about 30 students, who in the first part of April 23 tested the new field, in matches for various age categories.
