On April 25, 26 and 27, the Shakespeare Caravan arrives in Slatina, Caracal and Corabia and brings, for the first time, “The Complete Works of Shakespeare” in 45 minutes.

theater lovers are waiting for an outdoor performance based on 6 texts by William Shakespeare. The entry is free and participants have the opportunity to enter a contest that can win them one of those two weekends for two, at the International Shakespeare Festival – XIVth Edition, which will take place between May 16-26, 2024, in Craiova.

This year, International Shakespeare Festival, Craiova celebrates 30 years since the first edition and set off in a caravan through 30 cities in Romania, including Slatina, Caracal and Corabia.

“The Complete Works of Shakespeare” in 45 minutes is a theater show created by the “Marin Sorescu” National Theater from Craiova and presented for the first time by 3 actors who travel the country in a van, to bring Shakespeare FROM the center of the theatrical community in Craiova in the the middle of the communities in each city they will pass through and to share a slice of the young, fresh and nonconformist spirit of the International Shakespeare Festival from Craiova, one of the most important thematic festivals in Europe and among the most important Shakespeare festivals in the world.

show “The Complete Works of Shakespeare” it stars Lucian Vlăsceanu, Adrian Tudor and Alexandru Gabriel Boboruță. The translation and adaptation are signed by Petre Bokor, the scenography belongs to Adelina Galiceanu, and the direction is signed by Alexandru Boureanu.
