Friday evening, at the Traditional Fisherman’s Village, as part of the Scrumbii de Florii Festival, there will be a pre-inauguration of a work of art belonging to a special artist, a man from Tulcea whose life and work is shrouded in adventure and mystery: GTN

Preferring, at least for the moment, the quasi-anonymous identity, his works can be found in the most unpredictable environments and circumstances, in various European countries. In pursuit of absolute freedom, GTN’s tumultuous career has been marked by memorable trials and challenges. His life is a true saga and will be the subject of an upcoming documentary film, filmed over 12 years, starting in 2012, by the French-Romanian director Iulian Furtună, also born in Tulcea.

The exhibition of the work “Prayer for Peace” throughout the Festival, at the Fisherman’s Village, will mean a first contact of the Tulcean public with the GTN artist. The work is to be completed with new elements to be returned to its natural environment: water.

Along with this work, GTN releases a series of works of floating light, messages of peace and hope. “GTN’s gigantic sculptures shimmer in the calm waters, reflecting the light and aspirations of those who contemplate them. They allegorically project our deepest dreams, illuminating the darkest corners of our consciousness. Each of GTN’s creations is an invitation to explore the mysteries of existence, to transcend the limits of perception, and to embrace the elusive beauty of the world around us.

GTN’s latest work, “Prayer for Peace”, is a stunning display of his artistry. With this work, GTN reveals itself as a sculptor of light. A title that resonates with the magic of his creations, a giant light installation floating on water, it evokes transcendence, harmony and serenity. Like a beacon in the night, it guides our souls to shores of peace and reflection. It is his response as an artist to the ambient violence, the atmosphere of tension and war in many parts of the world.” (Julian Storm)

On Friday, the work will be previewed at the Fisherman’s Village, in the presence of the artist, and the launch will take place on Lake Ciuperca, at a later date.
