The city hall of Galați announces that between April 5 and May 31, 2024, disinsection, disinfection and deratization actions will take place, through the Ecosal Public Service.
Stage I
According to the City Hall, between April 5-8, 2024, with the help of a helicopter, in the vicinity of areas with water sheen, there will be an aerial intervention with biological larvicide Vectobac WG intended to combat mosquito larvae.
Between 8-12 April 2024, between 04:00 and 08:00, there will be intervention on the ground to combat ticks and flying insects in: parks, Lower/Upper Cliffs, gardens and playgrounds, using the substance Solfac Trio EC 140 NF – concentrated pyrethroid insecticide, with atomizer type equipment.
Stage II
In the period 15-30 April 2024, between the hours of 22.00 and 06.00, there will be intervention on the ground in order to combat flying insects, on the entire surface of the municipality of Galati, using the substance Solfac Combi MAXX – concentrated pyrethroid insecticide, with ULV generator and thermal nebulizer type equipment.
Stage III
During the period 13-31 May 2024, action will be taken to fight aerochemical mosquito larvae and flying insects, on the entire surface of the municipality of Galați, using the substances Vectobac WG and Solfac Trio EC 140 NF.
“Beekeepers and sericultures within the Galati municipality are asked to take all the necessary protective measures for bee and silkworm families in order to avoid contact with the insecticide substances distributed in all green areas of the public domain.
The program may undergo changes or be postponed if the weather conditions do not allow the action to be carried out in good conditions”, reports the Galati City Hall.
