In Văgiulești Commune (Gorj) se perform works of “MODERNIZATION OF ROADS OF LOCAL INTEREST“, contracted on 31.07.2023 with the company YDAIL CONSTRUCT SRL from Turceni, without associates, with a value of 10,050,673.38 lei (without VAT 19%) and a 12-month execution period. Practically, 100 billion old lei is the cost for the rehabilitation of the road.
The famous company YDAIL is the creation of the president of PNL Gorj, Ion Iordache, subscribed almost exclusively to public funds. Currently, it was “left a legacy” to the son, Dragoș Iordache.
Several locals from Văgiulești complain that the rehabilitation works raised the road by about half a meter, in some parts even 60-70 cm, without the asphalt layer being poured yet. People say that it is very difficult for them to enter the courtyards of the houses, as the road is now half way through the fence, and they are worried about water coming into their houses when it rains. Some also say that, from the window of the house, they have to “look up” to see the cars on the street. They blame the designers and the builder.
In an edition of the show Romania, I love you!, from ProTv, about two months ago, revealed the ways in which government funds were obtained for similar works in several communes in Gorj, with the support/direct involvement of some politicians in addition to officials of some ministries, and later attributed to companies close to them, where there are suspicions of influence peddling or other acts of corruption. Among the targeted works are those in Văgiulești commune, carried out by the company of Senator Iordache’s family.
