It is printed after a series of monographs dedicated to the Constanța Dramatic Theater and the Puppet Theater, a book with pearls from the behind-the-scenes humor (with the cover and illustrations created by Horaţiu Mălăele) and three theater monographs dedicated to personalities of the Tomitan and Romanian theater: Aneta Forna Christu , Eugenia Tărăşescu Jianu, Agatha Nicolau.
The work “Journey on the road of memories” is, rather, an album of memories, born from the desire to reconstruct and fix in the cultural memory moments of theatrical history at the Euxine Pontus. This seventh volume is illustrated with photos from performances and from the personal archive of the book’s characters, with whom it is linked by a friendship of 45 years. “From the moment I came to the theater, I was received by them with warmth and love. By the nature of my profession, I collaborated with each of them. For example, with Gina Jianu in making the posters and program booklets. With Nuti Forna when organizing meetings with small spectators, at the theater headquarters or even at their homes: in schools and kindergartens, upon completion, the translation of some recitals. These are just some of the happy moments of our collaboration. What prompted me to write again? My friendship with Roxana Silvia Stancu Ghiman was my source of inspiration. Once, in an interview, he told how rare are the families whose members are in the same theater. The book’s characters are members of the Stancu-Ghiman family. George Stancu was an actor at the Constanța State Theatre, his wife, Roxita Stancu, was an administrator at the Constanța State Theatre, their daughter, Roxana Silvia Ghiman, was, until leaving for Germany, a doll maker, and Dromihete (Heti ) Ghiman, her husband, was an actor of the Constanța Puppet Theatre”, said Anaid Tavitian, for “Cuget Liber”.
In other words, she dedicated all the books she has written so far to people of chosen professional and spiritual conduct, whose friendship she still honors today.
Through the nature of his profession, he was able to observe over time that the stage is the place where, as in life, moments with laughter are found. As for the pearls behind the scenes, they were translated into pages with the help of the illustrations of the well-known actor Horatiu Mălăele, to whom Anaid Tavitian was a colleague at the National University of Theater and Cinematography “IL Caragiale” in Bucharest.
What’s next? Maybe a book with a biographical character, in which, of course, the theater will have an important place.
