Later, the Roma did not understand each other anymore, after the girl’s honor was questioned by the teenager’s relatives.
Gypsy judgment in Chiajna
After several tense discussions, the girl would have ended up in the office of a gynecologist who, after a brief consultation, assured both the parents and future in-laws that the patient is still a virgin, Gândul writes. Even so, the boy’s parents said they wanted to cancel the wedding, which is why a conflict broke out between the clans, especially since the girl’s relatives had managed to collect the money.
In order to calm the waters, the families turned to a bulibaşa to distribute justice. The staff would have been organized in Chiajna, last week, and around 200 people, members of both clans, would have participated in the so-called trial.
Following the gypsy judgment, the child’s family must return to the boy’s parents 20,000 euros out of the 35,000 previously paid and keep 15,000 euros, an amount that should cover a so-called “shame fee”, for the fact that the wedding was cancelled.
