The building will have a main hall with an area of 1,244 square meters.
Over 1000 seats
The building will have 1,077 seats, of which 22 seats are intended for people with disabilities. Two multifunctional secondary rooms with a total area of approximately 607 sqm, foyers with a total area of approximately 1,630 sqm, and a culturally specific co-working space will be built. Areas for public food will also be set up here.
“As we proposed, at the beginning of April the work on the Cultural Center will begin. The builders will first organize the site, prepare the land, then move on to the actual works. At the end, we will have a new, modern building that will host shows, concerts, congresses and conferences, and those who carry out different cultural activities will have access to co-working spaces”, said Călin Gal, the vice-president of the Bihor County Council.
Almost 20,000,000 lei
The project also provides for the provision of utilities, the arrangement of access, alleys and pedestrian platforms and the arrangement of green spaces. The value of the contract signed with the Erbașu Construction company is 19,524,356.49 lei, including VAT, and the term for the execution of the works is 32 months.
“The total area of the site on which the Multipurpose Cultural Center will be built is 17,778 square meters. The building will have a built-up area of approximately 10,450 square meters and a total useful area of approximately 8,015 square meters,” the above-mentioned source said.
The project will be financed with European funds, through the Romania-Hungary Transfrontier Program.
The Multifunctional Cultural Center is being built in the perimeter delimited by the sports field of the Sports High School, the Partenie Cosma College, the “Gheorghe Șincai” County Library – Bihor, the Museum of the Country of Crișurilor – Museum Complex, the Territorial Labor Inspectorate, the new headquarters of the Court of Accounts and Făgăraşului street .
