The ANM Alert, the National Meteorological Administration, the last-minute official weather forecast for Romania on March 28, 2024, brings to our immediate attention a weather phenomenon that will cause discomfort for many Romanians, because we are talking about Saharan dust that reaches our country.

ANM explains below how exactly this Saharan dust will move over areas of the country, the biggest problems will be during these nights, when the number of dust particles in the air will be higher, so it is good to know what is happening from all points of view.

Notice regarding the transport of Saharan dust in Romania!

Between March 27, 12:00 p.m. and March 28, 10:00 p.m., the air circulation will remain predominantly south-westerly and will favor the penetration of an air mass loaded with dust particles of Saharan origin over Romania, with higher concentrations to be recorded in south-western, southern and eastern regions.

In the night from Thursday to Friday, the air mass loaded with dust particles will exceed the geographical area of ​​Romania and will be found over the Black Sea and Ukraine. The rains will be reported especially in the west, south-west, center and north of the territory. Dust deposits will be particularly noticeable in areas and intervals with rain.
