The first issue of the 2024 Discobolul magazine has appeared at the Alba County Library: special graphics, prose and poems

The first edition of the magazine Discobolul appeared at the Alba County Library. A collection of poems, prose or diaries composed by valuable authors can now be found in the library collection.

Since the appearance of the first issue, Discobolul magazine has been and is a well-anchored presence in literary life. The magazine has a quarterly frequency and can be read both in print and online format, with special graphic conditions and valuable content. Added to all this is the fact that the magazine Discobolul appears under the auspices of the Romanian Writers’ Union, being edited and financed by the Alba County Council and the “Lucian Blaga” Alba County Library and having the writer Ion Pop as its honorary director. At the helm of the magazine is a core of Albaiulian intellectuals who increase its value: editor-in-chief Aurel Pantea, editors: Ion Buzași, Ioana Cistelecan, Georgeta Orian, Cornel Nistea, Mircea Stâncel, Adriana Teodorescu and editorial secretary Petronela Pașca. Adding to the literary value of the magazine are the special graphic conditions and the illustration of the covers with the works of Plastic artist Ana Pantea.

Volume 1/2024 (no. 313-314-315/Jan.-Feb.-Mar.) of the Discobolului magazine has already appeared and includes in its pages the writings of well-known poets, prose writers, literary critics and academics such as: Romulus Bucur (Poems), Gheorghe Grigurcu (Diary), Marta Petreu (Exegesis), Ion Pop, Nicolae Oprea, Iulian Boldea, Ovidiu pecican, Mircea Bârsilă, Mircea Popa, Ion Buzași, Dumitru Augustin Doman, Cornel Nistea, Diana Campan, Georgeta Orian , Monica Grosu (Critical comments), Al. Cistelecan (Post-factum), Gheorghe Schwartz, Adrian Alui Gheorghe (Prose), Mircea Stâncel (Book Market) and Bernard Hubert, Flavie Bienfait, Célia Charlois, Frédéric Ripoll (Jacques Maritain Symposium).
