Five Individuals From Bucharest Disguised As Women Were Arrested After Fooling Others On The Internet

The men are accused of aggravated theft, attempted aggravated robbery, concealment and pimping, after causing damage to the victims of over 33,000 lei, from November 2023 until now.

“Several men, between the ages of 22 and 38, through advertisements posted online, under the pretext of offering sexual services, allegedly attracted the injured persons to the apartments they had rented in the Capital. At the same time, the men in question, disguised as women, would have taken advantage of the inattention of the victims and stolen several sums of money, as well as several jewels made of precious metal and a mobile phone”, reported the Capital Police.

According to some judicial sources cited by News.ro, one of the suspects, after providing the required services and stealing several gold jewelry and the sum of 7,000 lei, returned and entered the injured person’s residence without right, in Voluntari, Ilfov county, where he hit a woman to steal other sums of money, but he didn’t succeed.

Following house searches carried out by the police from the 14th Precinct in Bucharest, five suspects were arrested and several items of interest in the case were identified and seized.

The suspects were heard and later detained for 24 hours, to be presented to the magistrates with a legal proposal.

The investigations are being continued by police officers from the 14th Police Department, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the 4th District Court, for aggravated theft, attempted aggravated robbery, concealment and pimping.

The action benefited from the support of the Special Operations Directorate of the Romanian Police, as well as the support of the Special Actions Service.
