Much has been discussed following the decision taken, in 2019, by the local authorities in relation to the modular social housing moved near the cemetery. Now, 5 years later, TR Administrare Immobile has published some disturbing images. The photos show the deplorable state of some of these homes, which should provide decent shelter for people who don’t have much means.
The images show how some tenants have turned these homes into real unsanitary spaces.
“This is what some of the modular social housing looks like today. They are difficult images to look at, but they show how some people choose to keep possessions that do not belong to them, possessions that were given to them for use.
The modular homes will be repaired, but the costs will be borne by those who caused the destruction”, TR Adinistrare Immobile reported.
We remind you that around 100 people, the majority of Roma, live, starting from June 2019, on the outskirts of the city, next to the Heroes’ Cemetery, after the B-blocks, in which they lived, were included in the category of buildings of great seismic risk, and the conditions there were also indescribable in words. 35 two-room apartment containers and 30 studio-type containers are now isolated from the world, at the exit of the city, for which the Alexandria City Hall paid 1,273,550 lei.
