New television in Romania. American movies will be shown

A new movie station is preparing to make its presence felt in Romania. AMC Networks, an entity known in our country through its television channels, including Film Cafe and AMC, is ready to bring new options to the Romanian public.

Starting from April, the new television station will be available on cable networks in Romania, including those of Vodafone and Orange operators.

A new television station in Romania

According to the information communicated to CNA (National Audiovisual Council), AMC will introduce the Film Mania Romania channel in Romania, a television station that will mainly broadcast classic American films.

Currently, AMC Networks already has a place in the Romanian television landscape, being represented by the channels AMC, Film Cafe, TV Paprika, Minimax and JimJam.

In Hungary, Film Mania is already a well-known name and took over the role of Filmmuzeum TV station in 2012. At the same time, within the AMC group, Zone Romantica TV was rebranded and became Film Cafe.

The channel where the 2024 Olympic Games will be broadcast

At the beginning of this month, Romanian Television inaugurated a new television channel dedicated to sports in the country. It will cover the 2024 Paris Olympics, running from July 26 to August 11.

TVR SPORT will offer a wide range of sports, expanding beyond football.

Viewers will be connected to competitions from a wide range of sports fields, for which TVR has acquired broadcast rights, as well as exclusive programs.

These include images from the station’s rich archive, news bulletins, portrait shows, interviews and debates focused on specific themes.

In fact, Prima inaugurated its first television channel dedicated to history enthusiasts, called Prima History.

The announcement was made officially by the representatives of the Clever Media trust, and this new TV channel replaces CinemaEst in the program schedule of Digi subscribers, according to stiripesurse.ro.
