A 25-year-old man, representative of a company, was detained by the Capital’s police for 24 hours in a case of tax evasion with waste, in which the damage reaches one million lei.
According to the Capital Police, the police officers from the Economic Crime Investigation Service – Sector 4 made four house searches and filed five arrest warrants, in Ilfov county, in a criminal case of tax evasion.
From October 2016 until now, repeatedly, a 25-year-old man, a representative of a company, would not have recorded the income obtained as a result of the sale of quantities of recyclable materials (approximately 1,000 tons of waste), to several beneficiaries .
From the research, it was determined that the damage caused to the consolidated budget of the state is estimated at 1,000,000 lei.
Following the searches, several goods and documents with evidential value were identified, including 28 fuel and credit banking cards.
Based on the arrest warrants, the concerned persons were taken to hearings, and the 25-year-old man was detained for 24 hours.
It was also ordered to institute protective measures on the movable and immovable assets of the suspect up to the sum of 802,171 lei.
The investigations are continued by the police under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bucharest Court in the aspect of committing the crime of tax evasion.
